The following tutorial will help you tailor your restaurant’s opening hours for special occasions such as

• Mother’s Day
• Valentine’s Day
• and many more!
  

You can easily add images, customise opening hours, add pre-authorisations on cards, and include special prices and a pre-deposit when the customer makes their booking online.

Get Started

1. From your WOWAPPS dashboard, click on Bookings (left-hand panel)
2. Next, click on “Special Dates” on the top bar.

Option 1 - Updating Trading Hours On Special Days

1. Click on the Trading Hour Adjustment (left) button.
2. Fill in the Title of the event (Eg – Mother’s Day / Valentine’s Day).
3. Click on either “Single Date” (one-time occasion) or “Recurring”.
4. Select the exact date or multiple days you’d like to apply these trading hours to.
5. Select a Start Time and End Time
6. Select an image file (optional)
7. Then, click Save.

You will now be able to preview this by clicking “Preview and Links” on the top panel and clicking on the specific date. Please remember to allow 24hrs for Google to update

Option 2 - Adding A Special Event

1. Click on the Events Landing (right) button.
2. Fill in the Title of the event (Eg – Mother’s Day Lunch / Valentine’s Day Dinner).
3. Click on either “Single Date” (one-time occasion) or “Recurring” depending on the occasion.
4. Select the exact date or multiple days you’d like to apply these trading hours to.
5. Select a Start Time and End Time
6. You can enter a set pricing of the event (if there is a set price)
7. A brief description of the event can be entered.
8. You can also enter a deposit and/or a pre-authorisation on the customer’s card.
9. Select an image file (optional)
10. Then, click Save.

In this example, 'Shea's Cafe' is closed every Sunday. However, we have added special times to Sunday only (the 12th) for Mother's Day

Step 2 - Adjusting Your Google Hours 

1. Log in to your Google/Business page. 

2. Once logged in, Google yourself to open your Tools.

3.  Click “Edit profile”.

.  A pop up will appear. Scroll down or click “Hours” 

5. Scroll down to “Special hours”, > Click the Edit pencil. 

6. Click “Add Date”. Select the date and time you wanted to add.

Once done  click “Save”. 

Note: Make sure to allow WOWAPPS 24 hours to update Google with the Special Day information. Then your Special Date and Time will appear on Google.
