WOWAPPS gives you the links required to put your ordering widget on any webpage that support https links (such as your webpage and Insta bio etc).
Disclaimer
The below article will explain what all the links are. Due to the fact that every website is different, it's virtually impossible to show an installation guide here, however, if you reach out to support.wowapps.com the team will do their very best to help you install the ordering widget on your website. In most cases, your web designer will have no issues in installing the widget.
Getting Your Widget Links
If you navigate over to the 'Preview and Links tab', you’re presented with a few options:
- Direct Link to Widget (opens ordering widget in a pop-up).
- Code Snippet for Website (embeds erdering layout in page).
- Book Now buttons (open ordering widget in a pop-up).
Direct Link to Widget
This is the preferred link and easiest to install on your website. Using your website builder, you can easily copy and paste this link behind a button, which once clicked will open the booking widget.
Code Snippet for Website (embeds booking layout in page)
This code embeds the ordering widget on your website - alittle like what you see to the left of the screen in the 'Preview and Links' area.
Order Now Buttons
While similar to the Direct Link to Widget code, using this code will also generate a button on your website. The difference with this option is that this button matches the colours you defined in the logo/branding area. If ever changed, the button no matter where it's displayed, will automatically update to the new colours.
Advanced Marketing Tip
Below is a little tip/hint we will use in more advanced articles. While it does not need to be applied, if understood it is great to implement right away.
All WOWAPPS widgets give you the option to add a ‘source code’ to each link. You can call this anything you like and the advantage of doing this is you can then start to see where your traffic is coming from.
Most WOWAPPS links are in a similar format to this:
https://orders.wowapps.com/order/sheascafe?src=link
Notice the src=link - this is known as your 'source code' - basically, a way to know which link your customer in this case booked from.
You can change anything after the '=' to whatever you desire and then have your WOWAPPS reports reflect this information.
For example:
https://orders.wowapps.com/order/sheascafe?src=fB2
https://orders.wowapps.com/order/sheascafe?src=instbio
https://orders.wowapps.com/order/sheascafe?src=holidaypromo
In the below example, I have made three orders and changed the source code in each one:
Link one – I have put on a Facebook ad.
Link two – I have put on my Insta bio.
Link Three – is a local community page that has done a write up for me and people can order from.
In the order report, it will look something like this:
Through the ‘Via’ column (you may have to click on the image) we can see where each order happened at.
Why is this Useful?
As of now, you can really start to track where your traffic is coming from and who is ordering/booking with you. As the world moves towards more restrictive privacy policies, the tech giants are making it harder to easily track where your marketing spend is coming from...this is a way to keep track.
