Before You Start
Before we start, WOWAPPS recommends you have gone through the 'Getting Started With WOWAPPS' Basic Setup.
It won't take long and it's a fantastic way to get to know the system and introduce you to some core settings that all future lessons expect you to know.
Intro to your Commission-free Reservation System
The WOWAPPS reservation system makes taking online reservations easy and convenient.
WOWAPPS understands the importance of having a booking system that works with you and does not expect you to change your procedures to work within the system's settings - just as your venue is completely different to your competitor across the road.
Because of this, the WOWAPPS system has three main modes - think of these as columns that form the foundation and the setup for your booking system. These are:
Each mode comes with all the bells and whistles of the booking system and you can choose to change/switch modes in a matter of seconds.
Below we have gone into a little more detail about the three different modes your system can be set up in.
Once you have gone through the booking system and picked your ideal setup (remember, nothing is locked in and you can change whenever you like) be sure to start the relevant setup process.
'Request Mode'
Just as the name sounds, in this setup customers can make a request to book with you. Once the request is made you have the option to approve or decline this request simply from an email.
''Request Mode'' is very similar to having a contact form on your website - the difference being you have complete control over when a request can be made. For example, you control the times and dates requests can happen.
Have a look at the video below for the customer/vendor journey:
'Table Mode'
''Table Mode'' is where it starts to get fun. Think of ''Table Mode'' as stock inventory and we’re adding stock (tables) to your availability that can be booked. By activating ''Table Mode'', you start to activate what is known as ''Instant Availability''. This is where bookings will be instantly approved based on the conditions set out in the system. No need to confirm bookings as the approval process has been taken care of. All that is left to do in this mode is open up the system at the start of service and mark your guests as ''seated'' as they come in.
You can see an example of ''Table Mode'' below:
'Max Pax'
''Max Pax'' is the team’s favourite (but don’t let that persuade you). ''Max Pax'' is all to do with how many customers you can hold.
You basically state how many customers you can handle every hour, for example. The system will continue to take bookings until the ‘Max’ is reached, then close down for that period.
You can see an example of ''Max Pax'' below:
