Different Menus for Pick-up/Takeaway

This is an optional lesson for venues with a separate menu for dine-in ('Tables') and takeaway. 

 

Showing Categories for Table Ordering (On/Off)

  • Go to the 'Categories' tab.Screen_Shot_2022-01-31_at_1.56.23_pm.png
  • Select the nominated category.
  • Scroll to availability and select one of the two options:
  • [Non-Table Ordering] Is it shown? If 'Off' it will not be visible for takeaway.
    [Table Ordering] Is it shown? If 'Off' it will not be visible for 'Table Ordering'. 


If you only want a category to be showing for 'Table Ordering', you should follow the below settings:

If you want a category to be showing for 'Takeaway', but not 'Table Ordering', settings should be adjusted like so:

You will also notice that once you select the desired setting and click 'Save'. You will also be advised of the status of the category at the category selection screen.

Dinner would be available for 'Pick-Up' only in this setup and would not appear on the 'Table Ordering' menu. Drinks will not appear on the 'Pick-Up' menu but will appear on the 'Table Ordering' menu.

 

Showing Products for 'Table Ordering' (On/Off)

This is for users who can't turn a whole category 'on/off', but need to adjust certain products within the category.

  • Go to the 'Products' tab.Screen_Shot_2022-01-31_at_1.56.27_pm.png
  • Select the nominated product.
  • Scroll to availability and select one of the two options:
    [Non-Table Ordering] Is it shown? If 'Off' it will not be visible for takeaway.
    [Table Ordering] Is it shown? If 'Off' it will not be visible for 'Table Ordering'. 


If you only want a product to be showing for 'Table Ordering', you should follow the below settings:

If you want a product to be showing for 'Takeaway', but NOT 'Table Ordering', settings should be adjusted like so:

You will also notice that once you select the desired setting and click 'Save'. You will also be advised of the status of the category at the category selection screen.category_select_screen.png

In this setup buttermilk pancakes would be available for 'Pick-Up' only and not appear in the 'Table Ordering' menu; whereas hot dogs will not appear in the 'Pick-Up' menu but appear in the 'Table Ordering' menu.
