In 'Table' mode, the ‘Booking Interval’ tab is primarily used to modify the intervals of when a customer can book. However, it's best to be aware of these settings, as they do play a role later on when it comes time to use blockouts etc.
Setting 1 - What is the time interval between your booking widget's time slots?
This setting is optional and this is where you set the time intervals for when a customer can make a booking. This is set to 15 minutes by default and can be changed by using the selector and entering the required time. The decision that needs to be made here is would you like your customers to book every:
15 minutes - eg 6.15pm, 6.30pm, 6.45pm etc.
30 minutes - eg 6.30pm, 7pm, 7.30pm and so on.
Setting 2 - What is your average seating duration?
In 'Table' mode, this has minimal impact as your tables will start to override what is written here. However, it's best to keep this to no longer than 30 minutes, anything longer may result in stopping customers booking at specific times.
Setting 3 - Enable 'Max Pax' (Off) - required
If you want to put your widget in ‘Max Pax’ mode, use this option. If you do not want to do this, leave it turned off (by default). To learn more about ‘Max Pax’, click here.
Setting 4 - Revert to 'Request' mode (On) - required
For the time being, ensure this option is set to 'On'. We will cover in later lessons when this should be turned on and off.
