Step 1 - Enable Your Booking Widget

This article will walk you through the process of turning on and off your booking system, as well as how to set up the booking widget.

 

Before We Start

Please ensure that you have completed and read:

  2. Intro to WOWAPPS Commission-Free Booking System

By reading and completing the above, you will ensure that you have a basic understanding of how the system works and that you have selected the right booking widget for your venue.

 

Get Started: 

1 - From the WOWAPPS portal, navigate to the ‘Bookings’ section on the left side of the screen. You will then be directed to the ‘Setup Page’. Initially, you have three options to consider:

 

Enable Bookings

This will activate your booking widget and give you the option to begin testing it (via the ‘Preview’ and ‘Links’ tabs). 

Note: You will not receive any bookings until you enable additional settings, or place the widget on your website. To avoid confusion, it is recommended you turn the widget on by clicking the switch next to ‘Enable Bookings’ and allowing the switch to turn green, so you can continue setting up and testing your settings using the ‘Preview’ and ‘Links’ tabs.
Enable Booking Widget In App This setting allows the booking widget to appear in your mobile app (click here to learn about setting up your mobile app). If you are going to use the booking widget, you should keep this turned on at all times. To enable this, click the switch next to the ‘Enable Widget’ button in the app and wait for it to turn green.
Enabling Reserve With Google - This will allow you to take bookings and gain more customers by leveraging the power of Google and having people book directly from your Google listing. Click here to learn more about ‘Reserve with Google’. It is recommended you enable this after you have configured your booking widget.

 

Additional settings and configuration options are available on this page and will be covered in future articles/lessons. The goal of this article is to simply explain the 'Enable Bookings' option so you can begin configuring your booking widget and testing the booking system.

 

Step 1 - Enable Bookings

Please enable your booking system by clicking the switch next to Enable Bookings. 

Have it go from off (default) to on
