WOWAPPS ordering system when activated will enable you to take orders from anywhere on the web, including your 'Google My Business Page'. It is a fantastic way to get more orders and new customers coming into your restaurant, and it is commission free!
If you already have your own drivers, WOWAPPS allows you to add delivery options to your ordering system. In the case that you don’t, you also have the option to work with our professional delivery partners: DoorDash and 13 cabs.
In the following course, we will explain the process of setting up your online ordering with DoorDash:
*Note: This set-up course assumes that you already have an online ordering system built and connected to a payment gateway.
1. Turn on the delivery option
This is done by going to Orders > Delivery > selecting Yes to the question Would you like to turn on delivery?
As soon as this is selected additional option will appear. Since we want to connect to Doordash, select Enable under the DoorDash icon.
Once this is done, you will be prompted with a quick liability pop-up. Once accepted, you can continue the set-up.
2. Contribution per order
This is completely optional. You can decide how much you would like to contribute per order to, in this case, DoorDash, to minimize the cost of delivery to your customers. If you leave it at $0, the customer will have to cover the total delivery cost of the order.
Increasing the amount of money you contribute per order could be an incentive to get more customers to place orders, as the cost of their deliveries will be reduced. It is important to note that customers cannot see the cost of deliveries until they reach the final step of the delivery process. You can find more information about this topic in this article.
3. Minimum spend for delivery orders
This is also optional. Here, you can enter an amount to add a minimum spend to all delivery orders. For example, suppose $20 was entered here, before the delivery order is accepted, a customer order must exceed $20.
4. Do you only deliver at certain times of the day?
This option is available if you do not want to provide delivery at all times, and it is more popular among restaurants that have their own delivery system.
*Note: if left blank (the default), delivery will be available at all times your menu hours have been defined. Below is a breakdown of specific delivery times.
5. Specify an estimated delivery time
You can learn more about this feature in the following section, Estimated delivery and pick up times. For now, use the dial to select your estimated delivery time. If you do not want to see one, you can select N/A.
6. Delivery range
Enter your delivery range (in km) into the field provided and click 'Load Surrounding Suburbs'. Once loaded, all suburbs within the range specified will appear. From here you can choose to select if you want to deliver to specific suburbs or not. You can learn more about this feature here.
Once done, remember to click 'Save'.
