A taxi order will come into the bump bar just like any other order: once you accept the order, DoorDash will be notified and a driver will assigned to come pick it up. The difference is:
A - You will only get the option to accept or decline the order
Unlike where in the past you will have the option to set the delivery time. Remember, we covered this in the this article about estimated delivery and pick up times.
B - You will get a Status update
This one is really exciting and cool! With our bump bar system, you will be able to track where the driver is and you will also see live updates of the delivery status, among other information like the order number, the approximate pick up and delivery time and the total order price.
Notice that the yellow rectangle changes in all three images…these are status updates and the bump bar will reflect these changes, based on where the taxi is. Once the order is delivered, this status will change to ''The driver has arrived at the drop off location''.
There is also a booking reference number should something go wrong. In the event of this, you will need to call DoorDash call center on 1800 958 316 and use the booking reference number. Additionally, you will also be emailed these details.
