The process the customer goes through to place an online order is the same as when ordering from a restaurant that has its own delivery system, or when creating a pick-up order. The only thing that changes is that the customer is made aware of the delivery price as soon as they hit the ordering widget.
You can see below a few examples of different options that the customers will have to choose from throughout the ordering process. The customers will also be asked to write their full address before selecting the items they want to order, since DoorDash needs to calculate how much the delivery fee will be based on this address.
As explained before, the delivery and order fee will be shown at the end of the ordering process. Here the customer is also able to apply any discount or Egift card code, as well as add order/delivery notes, while the only payment method accepted will be credit card.
Once they click Pay Now, card details should be added and Voilà! the order will be placed. Here is when you will get a notification on your POS or Bump Bar system.
