Overview
Customer orders will automatically expire if they are not accepted within 10 minutes. This usually happens when notifications are missed or the device goes to sleep. To avoid missing orders—and to prevent automatic refunds—you’ll need to adjust a few settings on your device.
Important:
All expired orders are automatically refunded to the customer. Do not prepare or fulfill expired orders.
How to Prevent Orders from Expiring
Step 1: Keep the Bump Bar Screen Open
Make sure the Bump Bar is always open during operating hours.
Enable sound notifications to ensure you hear new orders
Tap the green banner that says “Activate Sounds”
This ensures you receive both visual and audio alerts for incoming orders.
To Navigate Bump Bar:
Login you account to WOWAPPS > Dashboard > Bump Bar
Step 2: Enable Persistent Notifications
Set your iPad notifications so alerts stay on the screen until acted upon.
Go to iPad Settings
Tap Notifications
Scroll down and select WOWAPPS Manager
Under Banner Style, change from Temporary to Persistent
This prevents notifications from disappearing before you see them.
Step 3: Disable Auto-Lock
Prevent your iPad from sleeping while the app is in use.
Go to iPad Settings
Tap Display & Brightness
Select Auto-Lock
Choose Never
This ensures the Bump Bar stays active and visible at all times.
Best Practices
Keep the iPad plugged in during service hours
Assign a staff member to monitor incoming orders
Test notification sounds before opening
