Overview
The Events feature allows you to create special booking experiences such as themed nights, promotions, or exclusive activities. Events can be scheduled as a one-time occasion or as a recurring activity, and can include pricing, deposits, booking restrictions, and custom descriptions visible to customers.
This guide explains how to create and configure an event using the Manager’s App.
Step-by-Step Guide
Log in to your WOWAPPS account at: https://ca.wowapps.com/
Tap "Bookings" from the main menu.
Inside the Bookings section, select "Special Dates".
Click "+ Add Special Date".
Click the "Event" tab.

Fill out the event information to set up how your event will appear and function. Enter the "Event Title" (name of your event).
Example: Mexican Night

Select how often the event will occur:
Single Date – Choose this option if the event happens only once, then select the specific date from the calendar.
Recurring Event – Choose this option if the event happens regularly, then select the day(s) of the week it repeats
(e.g., every Tuesday).

Enter the "Event Time" by setting the Start Time and End Time.
Example: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Enter the "Price Per Person".
Example: $10 per person (leave blank if the event is free).
Add an "Event Description" including important details.
(Optional) Add an "Event URL" by pasting a link to your website or promotional page.

Modify the "Availability Overrides".
This allows you to customise the availability schedule specifically for a special event. This means you can temporarily change the normal booking settings without affecting the venue’s default configuration.
a. Slot Increments - This setting determines the time interval between available booking slots for the event.
b. Booking Duration (mins) - This defines how long each booking lasts during the special event.
c. Max Pax - This sets the maximum number of people allowed per booking for this event.
d. Disabled Time Slots - This section allows you to manually disable specific booking times for the event. Click “Choose File”, then select a photo that best represents your event.
(Optional) Select the "Event Area":
Toggle Limit Sections if the event applies only to specific areas.
Choose sections such as Inside or Outside
(Optional) Configure "Hide Other Service Times" to block regular bookings during the event.
(Optional) Enable "Require Deposit". Enter the deposit amount per person.

(Optional) You can also select if the required deposit is "Pre Authorisation Only".
Toggle on "Send Event to Reserve With Google" to give the customers an option to book the Event via Google.
Toggle on "Enable" to make the event live and visible to customers.
Once done, click "Save".
