Overview
Requirements in a booking system are not limited to standard bookings. They can be customised to collect event-specific information, ensuring businesses gather the right details for special occasions without cluttering the regular booking form.
Why Use Special Event Requirements
Special events often have unique needs that differ from everyday bookings. For example:
Restaurants may need to know the seating layout or menu preferences during busy holidays.
Venues may require additional information about equipment, setup, or decorations for corporate functions or private parties.
Examples of Special Events
Some common events where special requirements can be useful:
Mother’s Day – bookings may require family seating or special menus.
Valentine’s Day – special table arrangements, menu choices, or decorations.
Christmas Events – catering options, AV setup for performances, gift arrangements.
Private Functions – weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate meetings, etc.

How Event-Specific Requirements Work
Requirements can be linked to specific dates or events.
They only appear on the booking form during those events, keeping the form simple for regular bookings.
For example, the AV Equipment requirement may only appear for corporate meetings or parties, while Seating Layout may appear for private functions.
This approach ensures businesses collect all necessary information for smooth operations while avoiding unnecessary fields for normal bookings.
