How to connect a payment gateway so customers can pay online through WOWAPPS ordering and booking.
Who it's for
Venue owners setting up online payments for the first time, or switching from one payment provider to another.
Before you start
You'll need an active account with either Stripe or Square before connecting. If you don't have one, create it at stripe.com or squareup.com/au first.
WOWAPPS supports Stripe and Square only. Other payment providers are not currently supported.
Steps
- Log in to WOWAPPS Manager (Mobile App) or tohttps://ca.wowapps.com/ (Web App)
- Go to Settings → Setup Payments.
- Choose your payment provider — Stripe or Square.
- Click Connect under your chosen provider.
- You'll be redirected to Stripe or Square to sign in and authorize the connection. Log in with your Stripe or Square account credentials.
- Once authorized, you'll return to WOWAPPS. The page will show your provider as Connected.
- Test the connection by placing a test order or booking through your venue's customer link.
Troubleshooting
- "The connection failed" — make sure your Stripe or Square account is fully verified and active. Newly created accounts sometimes need a day to clear verification checks.
- "I connected but payments aren't appearing at checkout" — ensure online ordering or bookings are published and active under the relevant section in Manager.
