How to mark specific times as unavailable so customers can't make bookings during those periods.
Who it's for
Venue owners who need to block off time slots — for a private event, a public holiday, staff shortages, or any other reason.
Steps
- Log in to Log in to WOWAPPS Manager (Mobile App) or tohttps://ca.wowapps.com/ (Web App).
- Go to Bookings → Availability.
- In the Availability section, tap + New
- Set the date or date range you want to block.
- Select the specific times you want to block. The times you select become unavailable — customers will not be able to book those slots.
- Save the changes.
The times you've blocked will no longer appear as options in your online booking form for that period.
Troubleshooting
- "Customers can still book the times I blocked" — check the blockout saved correctly by returning to Bookings → Availability and confirming the date and times are listed. If you're connected to Google Reserve, allow up to 24 hours for the block to propagate to Google.
- "I want to block the whole day" — select all time slots for that date, or check whether your platform has a "Close venue" option under Availability.
- "I only want to block specific sessions, not the whole time range" — select only the individual time slots you want closed. Slots you don't select remain open.
