What this covers
How to prevent customers from booking specific time slots — for a private event, maintenance, or any closure — without changing your regular hours.
Who it's for
Venue owners or staff who need to mark individual time slots as unavailable.
Steps
- Navigate tohttps://ca.wowapps.com/ and login your WOWAPPS account.
- Go to Bookings → Blockouts.
- Click "+Add" in the "Date Blackouts for Sections/Tables"
- Go to the "Section" tab if you want to block the entire section, or go to the "Table" tab to block a specific table.
- Select the timeslots you want to block.
- Tick the specific time slots you want to close. Only the slots you select will be blocked — all other slots on that day remain open.
- Once done, Click "Save All Settings".
Blocked time slots are removed from your customer-facing booking widget immediately. If you're connected to Google Reserve, allow up to 24 hours for the change to reflect on Google.
Troubleshooting
- "Customers can still see the blocked times on Google" — Google Reserve syncs on a delay of up to 24 hours. Check back the next day. If slots are still showing after 24 hours, contact support.
- "I blocked times but they're still visible in my own WOWAPPS booking widget" — confirm the blockout saved by going back to Bookings → Blockouts and checking the entry is listed.
- "I want to close the whole day" —Go to Settings > Trading Blackouts, then add your preferred day and manage the availability of your ordering and booking.
